Extended description
Jesus Said Christian Book is a Practical Guide to Spiritual Living. The writing is edgy, thought provoking and fresh. If you're trying to make sense of a world spiraling out of control, the text will inspire hope and provide direction. The Gospel of Jesus is recorded in four (4) book, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus Said includes every word as recorded in the Book of Matthew.
The book is formatted in the following manner:
Passage of Scripture
Consider This (Section)
Q & A
Action
Statement of Faith
Let's Pray
Short chapters contain a passage of scripture that relates to a specific subject. Topics like Healing, Temptation, Co-workers and Priorities are all subjects Jesus spoke on.
Every word Jesus Said regarding Faith, for example in Matt. 5:8-13, is discussed. In the CONSIDER THIS section, the reader is challenged to ponder revelatory ideas. For example, "Why was Jesus impressed with the faith of only two people?" Consider This...He had 12 disciples, 70 more outside His inner circle, and an entire multitude around Him. Yet, only 2 people impressed him? Interesting! Regardless, One of them is found in this passage. The Question has to we pose the reader is how do you join the number of those with whom Jesus is impressed?
The Q & A section contains three (3) thought provoking questions, which relate to the chapter’s topic. You will both receive revelation from the mind of Christ and be asked to account for the position of your heart. For example, a question would ask, ”What moves you to passion”? This is in the Soul Winning chapter.
The ACTION section gets the reader beyond the reading of the word, and into the doing of the word of God. When you apply what Jesus Said, you’ll be challenged to do something great with your faith. The interaction aspires to transition the reader from sedentary into lively stones, reliable vessels of the Lord’s choosing. (1 Pet. 2:5)
The STATEMENT OF FAITH section is tailored for a statement of your faith, which should be spoken out loud. This is important because words have creative power and like seeds, must be planted. Our Hearts, for example, contains the thoughts we think. When those thoughts are spoken, a seed is planted. The exercise will foster your own Personal Statements of Faith for all areas of your life and break the strangle hold of stress, fear and timidity. In its place, love, power and soundness of mind will overflow. (2 Tim. 1:7)
Finally, the LET’S PRAY section, guides you along side the theme just covered. Together
we pray in faith. This too, should be spoken out loud, and over time create boldness, and fervency in your prayers (James 5:17). Our goal is to make talking to God a normal way of life.
Once you’ve completed a topic, simply move on to the next one. The Holy Spirit will help you grow. Use Jesus Said as a daily devotional, Small Group Study or as a Sunday School lesson. The word of God does the majority of the work, all we provide is the time. What an investment...Enjoy!
